Procedure for Credit Card and ACH Data Transfer To Zift (import)
This guide provides a clear and structured approach for merchants looking to transfer credit card data to a new processor. It emphasizes the importance of adhering to PCI-DSS standards and utilizing secure data transfer protocols throughout the process.
1. Initiating the Data Transfer Request
To begin the import process, the merchant must contact their current platform or processor to initiate the data transfer. The merchant should inform the current platform of their intention to transfer credit card and/or ACH data to Zift. The current platform will need Zift's PGP key to encrypt the export file for transfer.
2. Create a Support Ticket with Zift
The merchant must create a ticket with Zift Support to formally request the import of credit card and/or ACH data. The ticket should include the following:
- Current platform and processor contact information (company name, contact person, phone number, and email address).
- New platform’s contact information (company name, contact person, phone number, and email address).
- The current platform and processor should be CC'd in the Zift support ticket.
3. Zift’s Response and Compliance Documentation
Upon receiving the ticket, Zift will respond and provide the Attestation of Compliance (AOC) to the current processor.
4. Exporting the Data
The current platform/processor will prepare and export the requested credit card and/or ACH data and encrypt it with Zift PGP key. When complete the current processor will deliver the file to Zift secure data delivery service show below.
File Delivery: The export files should be sent securely to https://drop.zift.io for import into Zift.
Important Note: Some platforms may take up to 6–8 weeks to complete the export process. Merchants should plan accordingly and allow ample time for the export to be finalized.
